WHO WE HELP OUR SOLUTIONS
"..physicians find the clinical information in the Car Considerations timely, accurate, and actionable."

Supporting the physician/patient relationship.
ActiveHealth supports the physician/patient relationship by helping patients take a more active role in their health. We provide information to members, but also capture information from them. Issues resulting from this new information are communicated to physicians in the form of a Care Consideration. In addition, members enrolled in the Active Disease ManagementSM program work closely with their nurses to prepare a list of questions and issues to discuss with their physicians to make the most of their next visit.

Our rigorous clinical foundation.
At the foundation of our clinical technology is the ActiveHealth® Clinical Development Center, made up of a team of full-time board-certified physicians, pharmacists and registered nurses. This clinical team develops new matrices and Care Considerations based on accepted standard practice guidelines and literature. Care Considerations and matrices are updated three times annually, along with a formal annual review of all programs and clinical guidelines. We have the unique ability to quickly build new rules to incorporate new medical information.

Our clinical team meets daily to discuss new issues and developments in the medical field. Rigorous reviews of the following evidence-based sources are conducted.

  • publications and position statements of major medical organizations
    and peer-reviewed journals,
  • standard medical textbooks,
  • discussion with subspecialty panelists,
  • and other sources of evidence-based clinical data.
