EXTRA WEIGHT CREATES CHALLENGES AND QUICK FIX FAD DIETS FAILED
Victoria was always trying to find ways to lose the additional pounds. She would buy every latest diet book on the market hoping it would help her address her challenges and meet her weight loss goals. Each one promised success and each one failed, reconfirming to her that she needed more than a plan; she needed a program that would offer insightful guidance and engagement along the way.
ACTIVEHEALTH HELPED VICTORIA FIND HER WAY TO IMPROVED WELL-BEING
Victoria was introduced to a weight management program through her employer. Once she began the program she engaged with two ActiveHealth® health coaches Jennifer and Christy. The health coaches were dedicated to providing the support and guidance she needed to get on track with her weight loss goals. Victoria quickly experienced the benefits of the program and the healthy impact it had made on her overall health and well-being. Over the course of less than 2 years, her weight dropped from 210lbs to 140lbs! What was once a struggle now became a simple task thanks to the momentum and positivity the weight management program offered Victoria. Victoria’s health coaches were an integral part of her journey to weight loss. While she already had the mindset to lose weight, she needed the extra support and guidance to stay committed to her targeted goals. What Victoria appreciated most was the fact that her health coaches listened carefully to her challenges and encouraged her to reflect on the past week without judgment. Each week was a chance to do better, stay on target and more importantly feel confident and focused. The program addressed all aspects of her life such as being mindful of having balance and reflecting on actions that led to unhealthy behaviors so that she could continue on the path of a healthy journey.
SUPPORTIVE COACHING FUELS MOMENTUM TO SUCCEED
Victoria admits that the process was not easy. There were times that she did not meet her required goals. Each time she did not meet her goals, her health coaches were there to help her to understand what went wrong and how she could improve her actions the next time. Through the ongoing support and awareness the program provided, Victoria became more aware of her overall well-being. At one point, she was making such good progress, one of her coaches felt she could stop participating on the phone check-in calls, but Victoria expressed her need to have this consistent connection regularly to stay on track. “They gave me balance. I had to balance the way I was thinking, if I was overextending myself at work, if I was running too many marathons, or even getting too little sleep. Everything can impact your health and they were there to offer a holistic view of my total health and wellness. This made the difference.”

Victoria is grateful for the positive impact the weight management program has made on her life! Her coworkers and clients have noticed changes in her weight, mood and overall appearance. Many commented to her that she looked so happy inside and out.
